A family journey from Russia to America,
rooted in love for nature and inspired by a decade-long dream
Our Story
The dream of Hemp & Health was born over 10 years ago in Russia, where we ran a successful business selling roofing, siding, and home improvement materials. Among all the products we offered, one stood out: hemp insulation.
This natural, breathable material wasn’t just better for construction – it was revolutionary for health and longevity. While technical hemp cultivation remained limited in Russia, we witnessed firsthand how this
ancient fiber outperformed synthetic alternatives in every way.
Our passion deepened during travels to India, where we discovered hemp clothing that kept us cool in scorching heat and warm in mountain chill. We found hemp hats that protected against sunstroke like nothing else, hemp bed linens that lasted forever, and hemp bath scrubbers that never developed mold.
But India also opened our eyes to a painful truth: plastic waste everywhere – streets, jungles, oceans. Russia’s forests and waterways told the same story. We knew we had to be part of the solution.
In 2023, we took a leap of faith and moved to America – to Winnetka, Illinois. Among the first things we did was rescue Leo, our beloved cat, who became our mascot and daily reminder of why we do this work:
love, protection, and inspiration.
Now, we’re turning our decade-long dream into reality. Starting with handcrafted hemp soap bags and kitchen scrubbers, we’re building a
family legacy – one natural product at a time.
